MDK began in 2023 as an experimental electronic music project by Mik Schuppin, Diego Madero, and Kai Kraatz. The trio meets remotely through Jamulus, improvising in real time from different locations.

The transmission itself is part of the sound. Latency, compression, glitches, noise, dropouts, and unstable connections can enter the music as texture, timing, and form rather than being treated only as technical problems.

Editing and production rotate among the members, and MDK publishes an ongoing numbered series of releases. Bandcamp and Internet Archive are the canonical public archives, while YouTube hosts full-album videos with static cover art and chapters.
